I am a student who is starting an internship. What happens to my academic subscription?
Your academic subscription will remain active through its original expiration date. You are welcome to use it for personal projects or to build your skills via Bluebeam University for the duration of your internship. Please note that academic subscriptions are for academic purposes only; they may not be used for commercial projects as part of your internship.
When will my academic subscription expire?
Your academic subscription is valid for one year from the date you are approved. For example, if you receive your subscription on September 1, your license will expire September 1 of the following year.
Am I eligible for an academic subscription?
Students and educators in credit-bearing courses and registered apprenticeship programs are eligible for Bluebeam’s academic subscriptions. Please see the detailed eligibility information above on this page for complete information.
Is my university/school eligible for an academic subscription?
We offer academic subscriptions to students and educators at grade schools, colleges, universities, trade schools, and apprenticeship programs. If your school does not appear as an option on the application form, please request that your school be added here.
How does my academic eligibility get verified?
We partner with SheerID to validate the academic affiliations of students and teachers. For some users, SheerID can complete this validation step with only a user’s academic email address. For others, the process will also require documentation confirming the user’s name, school name, and current employment/enrollment.
I have a current academic license of Revu 20. Do I need to upgrade to a Bluebeam academic subscription?
Individual academic licenses of Revu 20 will expire on September 1, 2025. Please upgrade to an academic subscription before that date to ensure continued access to Bluebeam. Academic subscriptions will remain free, and they connect you to the best of Bluebeam, from automatic Bluebeam University access to all the latest feature releases.
How should computer labs and classrooms with multi-seat licenses of Revu 20 upgrade to a Bluebeam subscription?
Good news, classrooms and computer labs no longer need to apply for a Bluebeam license! Lab administrators can download the latest version of Revu for free here and install it across machines using this implementation guide. Registered academic users can log into their Bluebeam accounts to access Bluebeam functionality from any computer with Revu installed.
