Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Blu-ray

Posted December 25, 2025 11:36 PM by

RM Films International will issue a standard Blu-ray release of Russ Meyer's Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965), starring Tura Satana, Haji, Sue Bernard, Stuart Lancaster, and Paul Trinka. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on April 7.

Description: Russ Meyer's iconic 1966 film, Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill! has been digitally restored by the Russ Meyer Trust and is being offered in a trade-wide, high definition Blu-ray. Featuring masterful photography in the unique, one-and-only style of the often-imitated King of the Drive-In, a tough threesome of Go-Go dancers (Tura Satana, Haji, and Lori Williams) embark on a wild, crazy, and deadly journey of violence. It's the timeless story of a new breed of buxom superwomen - belted, buckled, and booted - as only Russ Meyer could bring you!!

I've been collecting discs for decades but have never heard of 'trade wide' before today so it must mean the disc is extra special.

maybe the severin titles did not sell well enough. It could be RM estate doing its own thing again.

@Anthony Thorn: Trade-wide is probably their way of saying it's a copy which wasn't released in a small quantity at a ridiculous price to have the trust fulfil their legal requirements.

I bought the Italian release last year, which was still a damn sight cheaper than either of the RM Films International editions.

Well I already own the "repress" (?) from months ago so I should not bother here right?

Word on the street is that the price the estate is asking for this would make it a loser for Severin to work on. But screw them; I’m not buying this title until it’s a 4K on Severin. These ridiculous rights holders need to finally understand that their properties aren’t *that* valuable (I’m looking at you, Susan Hart), and that working a deal with companies who will treat these films with respect is in everybody’s interest.

I have that original release, no sale until fully restored on 4k and with bonus features.

@Ralie: If what you're saying it correct, then I am going to go ahead and pre-order this hoping that Amazon lowers the price closer to release date.

@UnionJackMix: Same here. I bought the repress from Diabolik and am happy with it.

Absolutely crazy that it’s not 4K and I don’t usually feel that way with other titles.

This was already released years ago by this company. I bought it back in 2015 I think. Is it the exact same release I wonder?

It's probably just the same disc you can buy from the RM Films website for $10 less.

I’m confident this will get a 4K release at some point - it’s the prized possession in the filmography. I’m more curious and hopeful for all the other titles, as I feel once FPKK gets the 4K treatment, that could be it for 4K Meyer releases.

Is this the same release currently available on the Diabolik website for $28?

I imagine RM is asking for a lot for these films from Severin, and Severin must might it difficult that RM won’t let them discount the discs or include them in sales. RM will want to hold onto this golden goose as long as possible so I imagine it’ll be one of the last titles to get a 4K. RM are just doing what they can to make some cash in the meantime. Surely Severin are working on another batch of Meyer films right now, there’s a lot of scanning and restoring to do. I wonder what the next batch will contain?

Fingers crossed for Lorna as it’s a beautiful little film. Yeah maybe some of the early black and white ones will be next?

No 4K. Seriously? Why even bother with Blu? Ridiculous.

I'm with Raile on this one - as much as I love this movie and Russ Meyer the standard has been set by Severin, and I'm not going to settle for a rehash of another okay to acceptable version.
