Angel Studios enjoyed success with last spring’s “The King of Kings,” which provided an animated study of the life of Jesus, as interpreted by author Charles Dickens. It’s perhaps the only Biblical tale that involved the antics of a cartoon cat, but the picture attracted an Easter audience, and Angel is trying to make some monetary magic happen again with “David,” which explores a story of heavenly purpose and leadership.
