Cyrus C. “Cy” Hungerford was born in 1889 and worked for 15 years on the Pittsburgh Sun before becoming a cartoonist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette when it started in 1927. Snoodles ran from approximately 1924 to 1927. Hungerford retired in 1979 and died May 25, 1983 age 94. Thanks to Don Kurtz for the nice autograph picture from his collection.
