We started our God Friday by going to see the Surgeon for Me. 3 years ago we seen the surgeon for Lil K on Good Friday. I sure hope this isn’t going to be a trend or pattern we started. I am ok, I just injured my knee and am doing pretty good on my recovery…….
After we got home, we started our Easter weekend of celebrating with our Resurrection Eggs and several Easter stories about the real reason for Easter, Jesus! If you don’t know Jesus, please get to know him! He is the only way to spend eternity in Heaven. And I sure can’t imagine our lives without him.

Lil E even read a book to us all.
Saturday morning we got up early and headed for a community egg hunt.

The dresses the girls had on, was made by me back in 2006. The one Lil K is wearing was Lil e’s. And the one Lil E has on was made for a friends little girl. Guess this is our last year for both girls to get to wear them matching. But they did get many years of wear.
Before Mom passed away, we always spent the Saturday before Easter having a big ole egg hunt and dinner with all our family and friends. We haven’t been to one with my family (as we live further away) since the year mom passed (her last Easter). This year I decided to do it like Momma would have done. We invited some friends and family. We had an egg hunt, and barbecue. It was nice and fun!

Ready Set HUNT……

I totally love how Em’s daddy was holding her and letting her pick up her own eggs. Too precious.

This year I made an egg hunt cake.

Not to often there are pictures of all four of us.
We ended Saturday watching a family movie and just spending some time together.
Easter morning Breakfast was made my Daddy. I normally do themed breakfast and or dinners and since I couldn’t stand on my knee to cook. As I was no weight bearing.

I think he did a wonderful job on our pancakes!

Just some pictures of us……

Our Girls!!! What blessings they are to our lives! Our world!!!

We did manage to get us all 4 in a picture.

Lil E did take this picture of my McLovely!

Each of us with the girls.

It was a great afternoon and fun for us! I had the girls come to me for a picture. Yet all long it was just so Daddy could egg them with some confetti eggs! We love love love having some confetti egg fun!

The girls had not had enough egg hunting and wanted to hunt eggs at home…. so we did..

Ok, ready set HUNT and at their request we actually hid more eggs that just covering the ground for pick up….

After the egg hunt, we came in and Lil K was sharing some gold fish crackers with the dogs. The girls helped pick out what we stuffed in their eggs for just them.

This it was time to color eggs. We colored the whites to make Easter colored eggs for deviled eggs….

Then we colored and decorated these eggs for fun.

It was a lot of egg-ceptional fun!!!!!
For our Easter dessert, we made tombstone rolls or resurrection rolls. They are so yummy and a great lesson about the death and resurrection of Jesus. The real reasons for Easter. Even though we have a lot of fun with coloring and hunting eggs, we always make sure we are still celebrating our Savior and the gift he has given each of us!!!

He is Risen!!!!!!
I hope that each and everyone of you had a wonderful and blessed Easter!!
Hugs and Blessings,
