The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club sits on the cliff above Tamarama Beach, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama. The club was one of the first surf life saving clubs established in Australia in 1906. This club house was built in 1939 in the art deco style, to replace the original wooden building which was destroyed by fire. It has recently been refreshed but the previous façade can be seen here. The White Cockatoo Hotel is located on the corner of Terminus Street and Railway Street, in the inner west suburb of Petersham. This heritage listed pub was built in 1886 in the Victorian Italianate style. It was established as The Lord Carrington Hotel but was renamed The White Cockatoo Hotel in the mid 1970s. This ferry makes its way across Circular Quay in front of the Sydney Opera House. The Scarborough is a First Fleet Class ferry acquired in 1986, which is part of the Sydney Ferries fleet which operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Scarborough, after one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787.
These hedges are in front of the main entrance to the inner west suburb of Breakfast Point. Just inside the gate is the historic gate house for the former Mortlake Gas Works of the Australian Gaslight Company on this site from 1884 to 1998. Linked to: Skywatch Friday.
This dual purpose building is located along Village Drive in the inner west suburb of Breakfast Point. It is a grandstand at the front which offers seating and shade for spectators at the Village Green and it is an amenities block at the back, amongst the greenery.
Behind this bench is a former workshop located along Peninsula Drive, in the inner west suburb of Breakfast Point. This heritage listed building was built in 1891 and was used as a Blacksmith's Workshop as part of the Mortlake Gas Works of the Australian Gaslight Company from 1884 to 1998. The building was most recently used as a sales office after the site was redeveloped into houses and high rise apartments.
'Happy Giant Flower Holiday' is an art installation on the ground floor of The Galeries shopping centre, in the Citigroup Centre. It was created by Micke Lindebergh as the resident artist from 13 November 2025 to 5 January 2026.
'Hillside' is a historic house located on the corner of Villiers Street and Oswell Street, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. It was built around 1910 in the Federation Style and was the Favell family home but also the meeting spot for the Congregationalist Church. There have been plans to demolish the house and redevelop the property but the local council recently listed it for heritage protection so that may not happen.
This large Christmas Tree is in the Martin Place pedestrian mall, near the General Post Office. The decorations are baubles and Australian native flowers. The buildings in the distance are the ANZ Bank and MLC Centre.

The annual light projection show on the façade of St Mary's Cathedral, as part of 'Christmas at the Cathedral' celebrations, running from 17th December until 25th December. At the end, a menorah with candles was featured as a tribute to the Jewish victims of the recent Bondi tragedy.
