Is there any way the recent changes to the browser on IOS can be reverted in a future update or at least have the option to change the layout ? The recent changes make absolutely sense and are frankly aggravating as a longtime user, It honestly feels like a joke to suddenly have the tab names below the tabs and the tab menu at the bottom of the screen. Duckduckgo is looking more tempting with every recent update :/

I am using an iPad. How do you stop firefox from opening a new tab when clicking on a link? I want to it to follow the link in the same tab almost always.

this is a problem im seeing all over the internet, but nothing in your database. i just replaced my ipad with the newest ipad air m3 (2025). i have updated the operating system and all apps are updated since i just set it up today. when using firefox, and additional tabs are opened, they will not close by hitting the x to close them. the only way that sorta works is going to tab view and closing them there, but they will not close from the main screen.

how do i fix this? like i said, im seeing alot of posts on the internet complaining about the same thing.

I upgraded to 143.2 on iOS 26.0.1, but I cannot access any swipe tab gestures, which I assume means I can just swipe left and right in address bar to move between tabs.

I can't find a way to turn it off in settings, but whenever I reopen the window the last tab I was on is open even if I closed it before.

Is there actually a way to turn that off?

Transient issue where the top of the page overlaps with the task bar (whatever it's called on the iPad) so the plus sign for new tab is under the iPad's battery indicator. Can't close tabs. Seems to happen when reopening the iPad, usually corrects after a few times of switching apps, but very inconsistent. Deleted and reinstalled app, but problem continues. Others have reported the issue.

Feature Request: Tab Groups in Firefox for iOS

Please add native Tab Groups to Firefox on iOS. Organizing tabs by project, context, or mood would streamline mobile browsing. Ideally, they’d support custom names and sync across devices for a cohesive experience.

For the past few weeks, it seems to me, I have noticed that if I close a tab on Firefox for iOS, and at some point later I force-quite Firefox, then the next time I open Firefox, the tab that I had closed will reload as though I had never closed the tab or app. I am curious if this is something the developers are aware of and can fix? Or if there is some other solution?

After the last update the inactive tab function no longer exists on mobile for me. It has been more than 14 days of me not opening tabs and they are still there. Others I know who use firefox still have it though. The inactive tab system was very useful to me, is there a way I can turn it back on?

Tabs used to be in the Settings of Firefox on mobile, but now I can't seem to find it. I really just want to enable the option to hide inactive threads and it's been a bit cumbersome not having that feature when I always had it before this update.

IOS on IPad. Every click opens content in a new tab rather then the current tab. If I close the app and reopen I might get a few minutes of normal click behavior where clicking content opens in in the same tab, then it goes back to opening new tabs.

I have already done the below troubleshooting: Open Firefox: on your iOS device. Tap: the three-lines menu button (the "3-bar" menu) on the right side of the address bar. Scroll down: and tap Settings. Tap: Homepage. Under Opening Screen, select Last Tab.

I have searched repeatedly and cannot find a way to turn on vertical tabs in Firefox for iOS — iPad specifically. Everything I find seems to refer to Mac.

How do I close all open Firefox tabs when I close the Firefox app in iOS so they do not appear again when I reopen Firefox — Without having to x each one out one at a time.

How can I get rid of the 'Tab Closed......Undo' blue banner that appears at the bottom of every open tab when I close another one? No offense intended to those who designed it, but I find it super annoying--it blocks part of the screen, and obviously I know I just closed another tab--I don't need a large banner at the bottom of the page telling me I just did that.

Firefox for iOS. I use to be able to drag tabs around and reorder them. Now whenever I long press it only lets me swipe away to close or keep holding and it opens up the preview.
