This is a perfect jacket for the cooler weather. Not super thick, but heavy enough to keep you warm in a breeze. The inside is the polyester material, so no shrinky. The outside-be careful. I always size up in STS. For me, all the jackets and coats run small. I have a few. I got a large in this, it was good. Shoulders were a little iffy, but not a biggy at all. Sleeves were long enough, and you could close it over a sweater or sweatshirt without it looking like the biscuit can was about to bust. Then, I washed it. On cold. And, tumbled it on low for about 10 minutes. The outside did what cotton does. There was minimal shrinkage, because I thought ahead and washed accordingly. But, it did shrink. I went ahead and got an XL. I still wear this one, just over a long sleeve T-shirt or something thinner. Just be cognizant of the cotton outer shell and baby it. Or, don't be a pig and slop it up. That's an option, also.
