Away on a Fractured World

Description
For people who thought Away on an Island wasn't annoying enough* and Final Spark wasn't hard enough.

This Origin uses the Away on an Island start but replaces your home system with the one from Final Spark, complete with ruined Megastructures and a Fractured World as your capital. The first few systems spawned by the EHOF Alpha will either contain a Ruined Dyson Sphere or a Fractured World. In both cases, they will contain a Damaged or Dormant Enigmalith. After you find your second Fractured World, you will find a size 25 Gaia world next.

Code related to the cohesive cluster was adapted from the "Away on Every Island" mod by DodoMan.

*I love this origin and Gigas in general <3

Load Order

Place this mod below both ACOT and Gigas

Compatibility

This mod doesn't modify any vanilla files or files from other mods, so there shouldn't be compatibility issues. It should also remain compatible if Final Spark changes because during the startup event, the empire's origin is set back to Final Spark, which ensures that checks for that origin work correctly. Internally, the mod uses the country flag
afs_grimdark
to check if the empire is playing this Origin.

Real "Jesus Forsaken". I think mindwarden,hard reset and OG ACOT final spark is hard enough.

@Oblivion Night2 The Away on Every Island mod is great but it runs into issues with Origins like this one where a starting cluster is set up. Final Spark generates systems with Fractured Worlds and Sentinel guards. If you just Ehof my Origin, it'll work and you'll get the storyline, but it eliminates those aspects.

This mod adds in those elements from Final Spark - the Sentinels, the Fractured Worlds, the ruined Dyson Spheres, etc.

2. I'm aware of the issues. I'm looking into them. But again, please contact me on Discord. Steam is a pretty terrible forum for this

This mod "Away on a Fractured World" functions almost unchanged from "Away on an Island" except that it adds the events and generation of "The Final Spark".

Tldr: probably not, but I'm not the dev so don't take my words as fact.

we had an issue where the game constantly crashed when fiering the ehof but it went away as soon as we removed away on a fractured world, the ehof functions normally afterward which is a shame due to missing some more fractured worlds and probably story elements of the mod but it is what it is. cool mod otherwise

@(Caos Puro) If you don't have Stellaris installed on an SSD and you have space on one, I'd recommend moving it to the SSD. Makes a huge difference when playing with a lot of mods.

I was able to narrow down the issue. Every time the game loads the system and tries to spawn the Gaia/ Fractured world, it crashes. However, if I don’t get the system with the planet, I instead receive one with a destroyed Dyson Sphere. They’re slowly starting to pile up.
