I don't know why but when making HL2, Valve decided to still use a lot of old goldsource era sounds for their sequel which personally breaks the immersion of fidelity for me, especially when it comes to map ambience. CS:CZDS (Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes) actually has quite a bit of remastered HL1 soundfiles which are a lot higher quality than the original valve ones, and don't really feel out of place in a game like gmod. I got tired of hearing those old crusty 1998 stock sounds so I ported those over which was pretty easy actually. Enjoy

Yeah I probably should've edited that better, I also updated this to include buttons, doors, and platform sounds as well so that needs to be included in the vid, but thanks and Merry Christmas!

Grateful for the mod! I wish the comparison video had the "before & after" after each sound individually, but it's nice having some higher res sound effects which really fit in. Merry Christmas!
