Elite Guard

Description
Elite Guard is a skin and gameplay mod for "Return to Castle Wolfenstein".

The Elite Guard mod replaces all human enemies with Elite Guard and
makes changes to the AI, enemy spawns, map scripts, weapons, sounds and music.
Enemies wear leather outfits with a variety of accessories.

It replaces the original male voices with new female voices generated with Eleven Labs.
It adds voice lines of Widowmaker from Overwatch, and the Assaultron from Fallout 4.

The mod adds music from: Wolfenstein 2009, Medal of Honor, Painkiller, Quake 1,
Project IGI, Fallout 4, C&C Generals, PROTOTYPE, Red Alert 3.

Improves the fire and explosion animations, and various other textures.
Improves the texture and model of the classic Venom Gun.
The mod also changes the main menu background and the menu music to "elite guard assault".

To use the Elite Guard mod:
Subscribe normally then the mod should appear in the addons menu. Launch the mod.
If the menu background and music changes then the mod is working correctly.

Compatibility update for RealRTCW 5.3


New music: Titans from Daikatana and Hell from Unreal Tournament 2004

Map Changes:

On map crypt2, the priestess no longer attacks zombies, they are on the same side.

On map Church, restored the grenade thrower and added a sniper.
When you trigger the zombie attack the elite guards waiting to ambush you up ahead will
hear the fight and come to investigate.

Completely overhauled the ai scripting on the map Norway.
New enemy behavior and placements.

Added friendly Venom NPC to the map X-Labs. Venom NPCs on maps Norway and Assault can
randomly switch between the mg42 and panzerfaust when engaging enemies.

End map changes. Only elite guards at the start of the map.
On even more enemies, 5 in the first room and 5 in the second room.
Once you damage Heinrich to a certain point he will always run making him more dangerous.
Marianna Blavatsky will no longer attack everyone when damaged to half health.
Only the two super soldiers will malfunction when damaged and attack everyone.
Added more health and ammo to the map.

I've added the PPSH as a secret on the maps: village1, village2 and chateau

Added the quad damage from survival mode on a few maps:
crypt1, crypt2, chateau, dark, castle, end

Powerups:

Updated the model and textures for the survival mode powerups.
Now the powerup energy sphere actually looks round.

Textures:

Changed the signs on map Village2
Added a Bioshock Infinite reference. The doctor sells murder of crows vigors.
Changed the image in the doctor's shop to a parchment with alchemical symbols.
New husky texture for the dog. The husky skin will appear on snow maps:
escape1, escape2, village1 and norway

Cutscenes:

Map escape1 - Dr. Z now walks over and flips the switch.
Map boss1 - I've changed the dead Helga body to the new model.
Map village1 - Now BJ runs as fast as Kessler.
Map end - Fixed Heinrich rise animation
Various funny changes to the cutscenes. Except the OSA cutscenes, those are unchanged.
On your next playthrough I recommend letting the cutscenes play to see the changes.

New Paintings:

Changed most of the painting textures and added new painting props to a few maps.
The spawn model function doesn't allow you to spawn destructible props, so the
new paintings are indestructible.
One painting in particular I've added to poke fun at the mature rating of the mod.
You'll find it in the crystal skull room on the map church. ;)

New Survival Mode Music:
GLA theme from C&C Generals, A New Order from PROTOTYPE, The Sleeping Beast from Red Alert 3

Survival Mode loadout changes:

Soldier: Dual Colt Pistols, Thompson SMG and Grenades
Engineer: Colt, Shotgun and Dynamite
Medic: Colt, MP34 SMG and Gas Grenades
Lieutenant: Colt, G43 Rifle and Artillery Strike

Survival Mode Enemy changes:

Greater variety in enemy spawns. All enemy types from the Elite Guard campaign are now in
Survival Mode.

Enemy Types:
Officer - Luger, Revolver
Soldier - MP40, G43, Mauser Rifle
Elite Nun - Silenced Luger, mp34
Assassin - Sten SMG
Black Guard - FG42, MP44, Venom Gun, Panzerfaust
Venom Nun - MG42, Venom Gun
Venom Flamer - Flamethrower, Panzerfaust
Proto - Panzerfaust, Tesla


Sound Changes:

Readjusted weapon sound volume so gunfire isn't so loud compared to other sounds.
Added ricochet sound effects from Half Life 2.
Changed the hit feedback sounds to bullet flesh impact sounds.

Map Escape 1 Changes:

Moved the cheap enemy that spawns under the window.
Now spawns inside the radio room with the officer.
Fixed roof enemies so they no longer jump to their death.


Notes:

As a reward for finishing the final boss fight on bring it on difficulty (or above)
with even more enemies turned on, you'll see the "real" ending cutscene.
Spoiler: Himmler and his assistant don't make it :)

The mod is tested and meant to be played on bring it on difficulty with even more enemies turned on.
The mod might be unfairly hard in some spots on harder difficulties.

Friendly NPCs can't target dogs correctly, so if you intend to use NPCs in your playthrough
I recommend turning off dog spawns in the options menu.

Small note - had the same issue years ago - however it worked fine if I overwrote the core mod.

I played the elite guard version for REALRTCW 5.3 i want to share my feedback. It's nice to have a a friendly venom NPC in X-labs, but i am thinking a venom NPC will do just fine in X-labs supersoldier testing room to help you fight the supersoldier. A venom nun sounds interesting but how about if it will be a friendly venonm nun helping you fight the elite guards at the level Chateau Schustafell another Venom npc will be good fighting Heinrich because when i reached the final level i've gone around the plateau to find that venom npc and i didn't find it i was really sad i really liked that. Take this in consideration for the next update of the elite guard mod.
