you do not nessicarly NEED to play Portal 1, buuut it is a lot shorter and will introduce you to GLADoS and some of the features of the game, but yeah. Even going in knowing the ending, it was still a surpries on how we got there and all the little things this game has. Valve, I may not fully like your current habit of neglecting your live-service games unless it is to add community content or the community throws a hissy fit, but this certainly is one of the best games OF ALL TIME, and I mean it! Pick this up whenever VALVE decides to make it like 50-90% off or some insane deal, because even with whatever price it is normally is fair, but you can get yourself a better steal whenever they want to put their entire catalog for dirt cheap, and I think you get a TF2 hat as well (aka the Orange Box)
