Herr Krabs was a high ranking officer of the Nazi German navy, Kriegsmarine from 1935 to 1941. He served under the U-boat Commander Günther Prien. Prien's U-boat disappeared, allegedly shot down by the British in March of 1941. However, Herr Krabs survived the sinking U-boat and went into hiding from the Allies. He knew that Europe would be far too dangerous, leading him to another Axis country: Japan. By 1942, Herr Krabs finally reached the Pacific. However, by then, the Japanese has lost their hegemony over the Pacific due to their loss in the Battle of Midway. Herr Krabs had no other option but to lay low somewhere in the Pacific.

He found a discreet town of Bikini Bottom and started a new life as 'Mr' Krabs and dropped his German accent. There, he started a fast food chain using his experience with processed meat he learnt in Hamburg. Sure, he serves a damn good patty. But beware, for every patty you bite, you are financing a dangerous man who dreams of the Final Solution and the Lebensraum.
