Nice try, but this is not how you make a medieval combat game.

Let me tell you what you can learn from one of the best games ever made: For Honor

First of all, what's with this armor? This is not how armor looks. It needs to be thick, rusty slabs of metal, or leather with lots of spikes everywhere.
Same for weapons. Swords were not flat, WTF? You need to make them more like... baseball bats.
And for some reason you got it backwards. More armor makes you squishier, not tankier. For maximum protection you need a naked chest!

Now the UI is OK, not bad for a beginner, but 50% of the game's activity should happen in the UI or in loading screens.
Make them longer, with lots of animations to look at! And the UI needs to spam flashy stuff everywhere on your screen, the bigger and more frequent, the better!

As for combat, you are missing the essentials, like combos. Even McGregor uses them, you can see him press Y Y X X UP DOWN UP LB during fights a lot, it's his favorite combo.
And you also need a disable skill. If the enemy can fight back, it's not a true combat game.

Last but not least, where are all the MTX?! Like where do I buy stuff that makes me feel better? Powerups? XP potions? Anything?! Geez.....
Oh well, typical beginner mistakes, but don't worry, you will get there!

(Actual review: Hardcore Mordhau-Diablo fusion style dungeon crawler with physics-based combat simulation. Really difficult and unforgiving, super high skill ceiling and realistic combat experience though.)

Another great game that's getting destroyed by corporate stupidity and greed.

Laggy, buggy, unbalanced mess!

For example, some people just teleport with lags, apparently there is no lag compensation like in other games.

The developers want you to press sprint + crouch + jump + direction to do extra far jumps. It's not just super awkward, clunky and inconvenient, it also doesn't work most of the time so people use a custom keybind command for it, but even that only works half the time.
Same with "vaulting". Most of the time it will push you away from the ledge so you see people jumping up and down for a while just to get up somewhere.

Some things are so unbalanced that you might as well just quit when you come across them, like certain maps for certain sides.
Some "classes" are completely useless and if you spent your first burst of credits on one of those, have fun grinding for 10-20 hours straight to be able to afford another "class".

I highly recommend this game if you enjoy everything that sucks about games.

Server problems are still an issue and the cheesy, OTT visuals have not aged well in my eyes.

The missions feel a little meaningless.
You fight and mine to get better gear, and you get better gear to fight and mine.

In other games at least there is a deeper narrative, like fighting to protect your race, your civilization, you lands for example.

Take Vermintide 2 for instance, there you fight to rescue the world from the recently united forces of evil, and because it plays during a time period known as "The End Times", you already know it will get rough and grim-dark.

Awesome game, though for most, watching cinematic replays on YT might be the only enjoyable part because of the steep learning curve and the not so enjoyable top down camera.

Like many games out there, this is a little gem covered in poop like corporate greed and low-IQ design decisions.

If you like ridiculous anime-style story, days, weeks and months of grinding mobs in PVE that die in a single hit just so your character is strong enough to compete in PVP, this game is for you.

Unfortunately it took the devs like a decade or so to tone it down with the pay2win systems, some of which are hard-baked into the game which I find absolutely disgusting.
And although they keep adding really cool stuff to the already big pile of other really cool stuff, key aspects of an RPG like build customization is missing almost entirely.

You can modify a few moves and change a few stats, but it always boils down to building a) tanky, b) dps, or c) tanky but different.

TL;DR
Laggy, buggy, full of hackers that can't be reported to steam so they can just keep making new free2play accounts.

Game: pay2win
(the equipment you RENT from the cash shop is better. "keeppaying2keepwinning")

Community: full of hackers
(single people running around killing the entire enemy team in less than 1 second, chain-headshotting everyone. google it, the forums are full of complaints. some hacker groups even have their own facebook community!! https://www.facebook.com/HackersWarfaceBrasil/)

Publisher: a Russian mail company with many pay2win games

! First Impressions !

Because of my great first impressions I would like to base my review on my current experience.
I will adjust this review as I go.

The very first thing: Tutorial

I love how the tutorial gradually loosens the leash with each match, introducing the mechanics and factions one by one and giving you a rough idea of what each faction/color is all about and some of the crazy stuff each of them can do.

(Also watch Ursinus' videos on colors and factions, very cool stuff.
Colors:

Factions:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXIRCZaumvs&list=PLH-9w8wk3FzxXlpeAazIXc3Q3399ZpYQp&index=7
...)

I love how each faction/color have their distinct themes and feel to them, and how each card gets its own sounds and animations. I was skeptical at first but it is way more immersive that way.

I also like how the resource mechanic is based on resource cards, it seems to fix balancing issues other TCGs have, although I have run into streaks same card types which got me killed - might be my noob decks though.

Bottom Line

So far, I love the art design, the distinct feel of the factions, the details and mechanics.
While most games are designed with a lot of negatives in mind, this is one of the few games that puts focus on awesome things. How that will pan out in balancing, I have yet to see...

---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

EDIT:
After a few dozens of hours of playing I feel the reward system is very fair. You can farm cards at a reasonable rate through pretty much anything you do, even by just watching streamers of the game on Twitch. Here is how it works:

https://www.direwolfdigital.com/news/introducing-interactive-twitch-drops/

EDIT#2:
What I really don't like about this game is the time-exclusive cosmetics. There is not much choice to begin with, and all of them but 1 being locked away to the time they were in beta really sucks.
On top of that, although their content is worth it, they come with a hefty price tag and you have to pay before release, but won't receive anything before release, which might be several weeks away.

EDIT#3:
After a few months I have grown weary of 2 excessive mechanics in this game:

RNG, which often makes your wins and losses feel like pure luck, sometimes after just the first few rounds because the game decides to draw you nothing but power cards, or no power cards at all, even with the allegedly "best" ratio in your deck.

Discard/Control Decks! Strong or weak, it doesn't matter. What matters to me is that it's fun, and those decks are absolutely horrendous to play against.
As an analogy, imagine playing a racing game where opponents get to mess with your steering or shooters where your opponents take over your controls.
If playing against someone who takes over the deck you painstakingly built and watching him play with it rather than getting to play with it yourself sounds like fun to you, go for it! To me it doesn't, and it's not.
