Day of Dragons

TLDR: This game is an utter waste of time, it's a breeding/skin crafting simulator with no substance to keep players engaged.
Wait for a better dragon game to come out.

Caution: This review is just my opinion on the state of the game.

Once again, I will uninstall this game. Perhaps, for the final time as new dragon games are soon to release that hold more promise and consideration for their communities.

BUYER BEWARE - Many cosmetics in the game require REAL money through DLCs or their Patreon
Some cosmetics may cost you upwards of $200 USD.

This game is still the same, bugs that have existed in this game 6 years ago are still in the game. All that has changed is a new dragon that comes a little too late for most PVE servers and a crap ton of skins. Most of the additions are cosmetics, NOT gameplay or QOL improvements.

The game functions mainly as a "breeding/crafting" simulator

Combat is messy and hitboxes are buggy

Strange audio bugs (eg, hearing underwater sounds despite not being underwater including the camera)

PVE servers are just nesting for skins/stats

PVP you are killed on sight for not being in a clan and functionally is unplayable (unless you are adopted by a clan)

Eldering still takes a considerable amount of time amount of time and is RNG of the correct crystals spawning (Est. two weeks or more for large dragons)

Playing this game feels as if my time and effort does not matter. Eldering takes far too long, and many people cannot put 20hrs aside each week to play and grow their dragons. The community is a mix of children and adults, so if you are not interested in interacting with either age group I reccomend not playing this game.

There is little to no guidance on how to play this game. I half expected there to be a tutorial in this game by now but alas I have not seen one. The only tutorial you have is the keybind menu and you will have to figure it out from there. Little to nothing has change for this game when it comes to gameplay soley.

Please wait until another dragon game comes out, there are several in development at this time.

If you are looking for advice on how the developer and content creators help advertise this game I recommend looking up "BOT or Bought" on YouTube by a creator called Shadow Scale. There are other videos on the channel that outline promises that were made over the years. Or if you do not wish to look up specific creators, then look for reviews on other platforms such as YouTube, Reddit, etc.

This game is a nightmare. If you wish to save your time and money then I implore you to not buy into this game. This game promises you so much, but gives so little. Even though right now is the soft 1.0 release it is a catastrophic disappointment. Bugs that have existed in the game for years have not been addressed. Instead, they are hoping the new dragons and "features" will make you happy.

If you are seriously considering buying this game then I suggest you do your research. This developer has long since been intertwined in allegations and drama. When I bought this game over two years ago I was hoping for a promising dragon game, unfortunately all my hopes were crushed.

This game lacks purpose and meaning, there is nothing engaging to do besides fight/nest. It is the epitome of a walking simulator. If you like sitting on a nest for 30mins doing nothing then this is the game for you!
