I enjoy reading, usually lengthy novel series that allow for deep immersion, often fantasy in nature. I'm a big fan of the Wheel of Time Series, Malazan Book of the Fallen, John Norman's Gor Chronicles and the Mistborn and Stormlight Archive books by Brandon Sanderson.

My musical tastes tend towards Power Metal but I like a lot of metal and rock and some electronic music. I'm interested in anything with a bit of energy and powerful lyrics. Some of my favourite bands include Veruca Salt, Assemblage 23 and Heavenly.

Filmwise I'm a sucker for horror, more of the gore than jumpscare variety. I have a particular interest in films that use practical effects, so splatterpunk classics like Hellraiser are high up there. I'm also a sucker for any film that begins with people waking up in a location with no knowledge of why they are there, along the lines of Cube and the many pretenders to that throne.
