A Cozy Idea With Frustrating Execution

Game Mechanics:

Most of the gameplay revolves around cleaning, painting, unpacking boxes, and placing items around the room. Unfortunately, the mechanics are extremely basic. Cleaning is essentially just dragging your mouse while holding down the left mouse button, and painting works in almost the exact same way.

There are no tools to help create straight edges or detailed designs. You’re limited to a single roller size that can only be rotated, and you only get a few preset colors to work with.

Unpacking items is also frustrating. You never know what’s inside a box until you open it, which makes planning your layout nearly impossible. On top of that, placement restrictions are very tight, so arranging things neatly is harder than it should be.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

+Cozy aesthetic and relaxing concept
+Some players may enjoy the minimalist decorating style
+Simple mechanics make it easy to understand

Cons:

-Extremely basic cleaning and painting mechanics
-Very limited colors and tools
-Unpacking system makes planning layouts difficult
-Item placement is restrictive and tedious
-Too many small objects that are frustrating to arrange
-Rooms don’t feel like believable or practical living spaces
-Very limited customization overall

Conslusion

The idea of a cozy decorating game is great, but the execution feels narrow and restrictive. Limited tools, awkward spaces, and tedious placement mechanics make the experience more frustrating than relaxing.

4/10

Until next time.
Take care, everyone.
