Fast, chaotic bug-slaying fun that nails the Starship Troopers vibe. Great co-op potential and satisfying gunplay. As they say: “I'm doing my part!” Can’t wait for the full release.

Unforgiving Mechanics Without Proper Warning

Story:

The world of Dune: Awakening has an interesting setting inspired by the legendary Dune universe, but the narrative experience becomes overshadowed when the game punishes new players harshly without clearly explaining the consequences of certain dangers. The atmosphere and concept are strong, yet the lack of proper onboarding makes early progression frustrating instead of immersive.

Game Mechanics:

One of the most frustrating mechanics is the sandworm death penalty. If a player dies to a sandworm, the game permanently deletes every item carried at that moment. The problem is not the mechanic itself, but the fact that the game never provides a clear, explicit warning beforehand. New players can easily lose all their starting gear -sometimes their entire progression, as I had- without ever knowing such a severe punishment exists. Instead of feeling like a survival challenge, it feels like an avoidable design oversight.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

+Strong Dune atmosphere and environmental design
+Interesting survival concepts
+Potential for rewarding exploration

Cons:

-No clear warning about permanent item loss from sandworms
-Extremely punishing early-game deaths that can reset progress entirely
-Poor communication of critical survival rules
-Frustrating new-player experience that discourages continued play

Conslusion

The game has solid ideas and a strong universe behind it, but failing to properly warn players about a mechanic that permanently deletes all carried items is a major design flaw. Survival difficulty should come from player decisions and risks they understand, not from hidden punishments they are never clearly told about.

X/10(I'll most likely face more negative things about this game as I play, as some of my friends urged me to quit while I can, before I face the other things in the future, we will see)

Take care, everyone.

BattleTech – Frustration Over Strategy

Story:
BattleTech’s narrative has an interesting premise and solid world-building rooted in the franchise’s lore. Political intrigue, mercenary life, and faction conflicts are all there. Unfortunately, the story is often buried under repetitive mission structure and long downtimes. When the gameplay loop becomes frustrating, the motivation to care about the story quickly fades.

Game Mechanics:
This is where the game falls apart.

BattleTech aims to be a tactical, methodical strategy game, but too often it feels unfair rather than challenging. RNG plays an overwhelming role in combat, to the point where high-percentage shots regularly miss with no meaningful mitigation. A 90-95% hit chance does not feel reliable, and the game offers very little transparency or protection against bad luck.

Early-game difficulty is especially problematic. Missions punish experimentation, hide critical objectives behind poor communication, and expect near-perfect execution while giving the player undertrained pilots and fragile mechs. Losing pilots early -which takes significant time to recover from- often feels like a result of dice rolls rather than poor decision-making.

Instead of encouraging smart tactics, the game frequently rewards excessive caution, mission restarts, or save scumming just to avoid irreversible losses.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

+Deep mech customization and loadout design
+Strong atmosphere and sound design
+Faithful to the previous BattleTech universe
+Becomes more enjoyable in mid-to-late game

Cons:

-RNG-heavy combat that feels unfair
-Poorly explained mission mechanics and objectives
-Brutal early-game balance that discourages new players
-Pilot deaths are overly punishing
-Difficulty often comes from attrition, not strategy

Conslusion
BattleTech is a game I want to love. The setting, the mechs, and the concept are all excellent. Unfortunately, the execution leans too heavily on unforgiving RNG and opaque mechanics, turning what should be tense tactical decisions into frustration management.

With better communication, fairer early-game balance, and less punishing randomness, this could have been a great strategy game. As it stands, it’s a deeply flawed experience that only becomes fun after pushing through unnecessary pain.

4/10

Until next time.
Take care, everyone.

Early Access Review
A Magnificent Sci-Fi Survival Experience

Hello there everyone, First of all I'd like to thank Evolve PR and Creepy Jar developers for giving me a key to play and review their game.

Story:

The lore is delivered beautifully through small notes scattered throughout the world. The interactions and talking between the characters and the AI feel organic and truly pull you into the atmosphere of the planet.

Game Mechanics:

The game offers a solid mix of exploration and survival. However, there are some QoL gaps in the current build. Navigation is a bit of a challenge without a dedicated compass or the ability to see custom pinpoints on the HUD. Additionally, the UI currently locks your movement, preventing you from walking while checking your map or inventory. There is also a minor UI bug during co-op play where the player performing a revival cannot see the progress bar, even though the downed teammate can.

Apart from that, I’ve been exploring this world with my streamer friend, Doru, and we have been absolutely loving it. Despite a few technical hiccups, the atmosphere makes for an incredible cooperative experience. For those who can pick it up, it’s a journey well worth taking with a friend.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
+The game is visually magnificent.
+Deeply immersive environment that keeps you hooked.
+The dialogue between characters and the AI is a highlight.
+For a game of this quality, the price point feels very justified.

Cons:
-Needs a compass and better visibility for custom pins.
-Lack of movement while map/inventory is open.
-Missing progress bar for the player reviving a teammate.
-We need clearer objectives on what to do next. While the trailer showcased base invasions and various bug types, our experience was a bit more limited. We only encountered small, medium, exploding, and spitting bugs, and our base never faced the invasions we were expecting.

Conslusion&TL;DR

Overall, StarRupture is a breathtaking step forward for the sci-fi survival genre. While it’s currently in Early Access and has some minor UI bugs and QoL needs -like the missing compass and movement restrictions- the foundation is incredibly strong. The world is beautiful, the lore is engaging, and the atmosphere makes every moment on Arcadia-7 feel meaningful. Even with the limited enemy variety we’ve seen so far, the core gameplay loop is addictive. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, atmospheric survival-tycoon game to play with a friend, this is it. I can't wait to see how Creepy Jar expands on the objectives and base invasions in future updates.

Until next time. Take care, everyone.

Global Rescue shines with its 3D art, detailed precinct, and dynamic calls. However, unit control is frustrating. Scrolling to assign tasks is slow; suggesting a left-side unit manager for patrol units would vastly improve command flow.

Supporter Pack is the definition of a great "thank you" gift. Let's be clear: this isn't a mandatory DLC; it offers no game-breaking advantages, which is perfect for maintaining balance in the Early Access environment. Instead, this pack is a genuine opportunity to give Jutsu Games a financial boost for their innovative game.

The included cosmetics, like the sleek new vehicle skins (Camo, Flames, Redline, Zone Emblem), the exclusive Survivors Statue for your HQ, and the expanded emblem options(wish that include other countries tho) are exactly the kind of satisfying additions that let you personalize your zone and show off your loyalty. If you love the concept and the execution of this unique zombie survival strategy, buying this pack is the most direct way to invest in its future development. A great purchase that supports a great idea.

I was excited to jump into the Demo and record it for my YouTube channel, just as I do with any other game... But the severe lack of optimization made the experience miserable. While my PC comfortably handles massive, graphically demanding open-world titles at a smooth 145-160 FPS, this demo inexplicably choked my system.

It wasn't just low frame rates; the game pushed my hardware temps dangerously high, soaring to 85°C (I had to close the game before it went higher). The constant fan noise made my setup sound like an F-14 Tomcat trying to take off. For a game with this art style and scope, hitting those kinds of temperatures and framerates is a massive red flag. This demo is currently unplayable in its unoptimized state and seriously needs performance tuning before it reaches Early Access. Buyers beware until this "jet engine" problem is fixed.

A beautifully haunting survival demo with a tense atmosphere, eerie sound design, and emotional storytelling. Though it can be slow at times, the sense of isolation and realism keep it gripping.

Hey everyone,

Shall we begin?

The Alters: A Fascinating, Yet Flawed, Exploration of Self

The Alters is a profoundly ambitious survival-management game from 11 bit studios (known for The City must survive and This War of Mine). It uses its unique sci-fi premise this time. Exploring how different life choices create different versions of oneself to craft a compelling experience.

Story

The core story focuses on Jan Dolski, a lone maintenance worker stranded on a hostile planet. His only chance for survival is to recruit "Alters". Parallel versions of himself created based on different pivotal life choices (e.g., Jan the Scientist, Jan the Miner). These Alters are essential for base survival, but their unique personalities and memories create intense. The writing is the star, forcing you to confront deep philosophical questions about identity, fate, and regret.

Game Mechanics

The gameplay is a tense blend of base-building, resource management, and high-stakes character interaction. You must manage the mobile base's infrastructure and resources while simultaneously tending to the psychological needs of each Alter. Their moods and relationships directly impact their work efficiency and stability.

Pros and Cons

Pros

+Exceptional storytelling and deep psychological themes.

+Unique clone mechanic.

+Tense and engaging blend of survival and management.

+Strong visuals and atmosphere.

Cons

-Game breaking "Rebellion Bug" forces massive replay time.

-Resource gathering can feel repetitive at times.

-Requires a significant save/load to recover from failures.

Conclusion

The Alters is a fundamentally good, brilliant game with a singular focus on narrative depth that few titles achieve. However, until the developers address the apparent unseen rebellion bug, it comes with the heavy caveat that hours of excellent gameplay can be instantly lost due to a failure that the player is given no chance to understand or prevent. If you are willing to navigate this risk or wait for a patch, the unique story it tells is well worth experiencing.

7/10

Until next time.
Take care, everyone.
