Lovecraftian eldritch horror meets relaxing fishing sim type vibes

Great game, great aesthetics, minor tedium only if you go for 100% completion like I did (send help)

I have a fear of the ocean (thalassophobia) and was able to complete the game with minor goosebumps. It has a few creepy creatures but for the most part its more interesting than scary.

The majority of the playerbase seems to have played the game closer to launch, however I highly recommend picking up the DLC before your first playthrough. Specifically, the Iron Rig DLC meshes wonderfully with the base game and will help bridge some gaps both content wise and progression wise. The Pale Reach is...not as good as the Iron Rig, in my opinion, but still worth exploring for a few hours.

The story is a little nebulous but comes together near the end quite beautifully. Like most cosmic horror, not all is explained or understood even by completion, but for once it didn't leave me feeling frustrated or asking for more answers.

It's quite a shame that only 6% of players have the very early Iron Rig achievements, it means most people have never experienced it!
