what if flammable gas was shifted into an acid?

So on my latest run, I decided to make it a point of *not* visiting the Overgrown Caverns to raid it for awesome wands and spells... and I'm astonished at how hard it is to find good wands anywhere else. Yes, I know, there are a bunch of bosses who will drop rare good wands, but I'm wondering if there is anywhere else in the game which has even a quarter of the pile of wands in OC? Am I just spoiled from having spent so much time in there in prior games?...

Good evening, fellow mages. Can you explain how in the first wand (the non-random one), the combination of Saw + Double Spell + Magic... Spit results it to be acting as a minigun, whereas any other combination - Double Spell + Saw + Spit/Double Spit and so on - casts extremely slowly? Was looking to buy. Don't mind a good challenge but I was wondering if there are unavoidable or unreasonable deaths in this game? I know permadeath games can frustrate people so it's hard to gauge when people overreact or simply don't understand. One complaint that comes to mind is getting 'Shots off screen that travel so fast you have no time to react.' Are there issues like that in this game?...
