Pros
- Fantastic game for map exploration/finding secrets
- Good difficulty curve (eg youll get killed 50 times on first level in first day playing however by day 2 you are easily clearing to level 3 before you die).
- Addictive gameplay loop
- Good spell building system, with almost unlimited combos to make (with a cavet below).
- A great feeling when you finally beat a run (I died 103 times before my first win)

Cons
- The game, in my view, unfairly punishes the player for experimentation, often insta killing you during a run you have invested 2-3 hours in. This is causing me to go want to go the internet to check if something will insta kill me before trying things, which is dumb.

Two examples;
(i) Many spell descriptions do not tell you that they can damage you if you fire them (like bubble spark). So when mixing spells and trying them, you often damage yourself or kill yourself.
(ii) Many spells descriptions do not tell you ##where## they fire - Eg some spells will cast right in front of you or all around you (like explosion and acid mist). I assumed these would fire outwards, but they go off in your face and insta kill you. This is annoying when I am experimenting with new spells 2 hours into a run.
(iii) The game discourages you from acting on the "mmm maybe I should try that and see what happens" thought. Example, I finally killed the boss who attacks you if you dig out of holy mountain (anger the gods) and wanted to see what happens if you eat his corpse. Yeah, dont do that as it intsa kills you. This was 3 hours into a run and was very annoying - how about the game put you down to 1 hp instead so you at least get a chance to come back from your error?

Noita is chaotic, magical mayhem — every run feels different thanks to the wild physics-based world and countless spells you can mix and match. It’s tough, unpredictable, and occasionally brutal, but that’s part of the fun. One of the most creative roguelikes I’ve played, and it kept me hooked for dozens of hours.
