After selecting screen res and gfx settings the game starts and says "Steam Client is required to play" any button press or key stroke quits the game instantly, files are verified any suggestions or help ?

I think I have 1 broken achievement, I've just finish a mission with 10 scissors and didn't get the achievement. This is the mission http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=298606760

I finished one particular level with only two shoes. The problem? When I decided to do it again to get the 3 shoes, it was impossible since the places where there were bonuses (namely clock), these bonuses were replaced by normal dots and there is no way to take them all. This is very annoying. Maybe only a reset option (to "unsave" progress on a particular level) could do the trick? Thanks in advance for your help....
