The performance on this game is horrendous. All the bugs from the better part of 20 years ago are all still there. Almost as though they copy and pasted the exact game and just slapped UE5 onto it. I would love to re-experience this game, but it is not even playable. The amount of times I crash is just ridiculous.

To put into perspective, I am playing with a 9800x3d and a 5080 with 64gb of ddr5. My pc isn't the issue. This game is not optimized clearly. What a waste of time.

Edit: I have had to install a bunch of stability mods and jump through some hoops to get it to be somewhat playable. I still crash occasionally, but not nearly as much. That being said, the base game still is not optimized at all. Beware.

I bought this game for myself, but then my wife kept asking me if I was playing "Skyrim 2," and I had to explain that no, Elders Scrolls 6 is permanently delayed, but she realized this might scrtach the itch of "Skyrim 2," and suddenly this game became her game. I had to stop using my steam account for a while and play playstation or just read, because the Steam account became the family Oblivion Remastered Machine. I've put like 20 hours on this, but the other 78 belong to my wife, who made Oblivion Remastered her personality this summer. It's a very good game, my wife says you should buy it, and I think maybe one day I will finish playing it too.
