please fix pathing and dwarves interaction. they stand there and get ded when they fight with low health. imps are still broke, they sleep or get glitched and dont pick up items. dwarves do nothing when there are items and task checked....

Always happy to find games like this where you command your little colony. This one is basically Terraria but your dwarfs do all the exploring and fighting for you. It's a lot of fun.

The dlc situation feels a little scummy though. It's all pretty much stuff that should have been added for free to strengthen the game.

There are positive things about the game, but I feel they are overshadowed by the negatives.

Pros:
+ The premise is sound. A mix of Lemmings (the dwarves are very stupid), Terraria and a few other games.
+ The art style is decent. Bit generic, but servicable for sure.
+ Game loop can be pretty addictive.
+ It has Steam Workshop support.
+ There is a skill system for the dwarves, where they will improve based on what they do (mining, fighting etc).
+ The nights feel appropriately tense without going overboard.
+ Decent enemy variety so far, at least with the DLC's.

Cons:
- The UI is awful, and almost everything feels like a chore.
- DLC's are the way of the gaming industry today, but locking QoL behind DLC should not be acceptable, ever. Even multiplayer is locked behind a DLC.
- Settings menu is virtually non existent. No graphics options, not even a hotkey menu. In fact, the few hotkeys that exist aren't exposed anywhere.
- No management interface for the dwarves, no way to individually set roles, just globally.
- First time the game launched, it started in Russian automatically, despite my OS AND Steam set to EN-US. Had to edit a config file to change it to English, since I cannot read Cyrillic. This does not appear to be an uncommon bug.
- Speaking of languages, the game crashed because of yet another language bug (specifically with the English language files).
- Devs "stole" a players screenshot of his / her base and incorporated it into their store page, without asking for permission. Perhaps not a big thing in and of itself, but it speaks to their disregard for basic courtesy toward their own community.

I'm considering refunding, due to the combination of technical instability and fundamental design decisions that make the experience feel unnecessarily frustrating. For a game that has been available for nearly 12 years, I expected a more complete and polished experience.
