A couple of days ago it almost felt like early spring. However, winter isn't ready to give up yet. Yesterday it snowed again.

Orange heart
Look what I found in my mailbox today -- an wonderful orange soapstone heart!
Isn't the pattern just beautiful?
The heart is one of the prizes Denise from The Adventures of the Arrogant Frog and the Smug Beef offered during One World One Heart.
Thanks so much for the heart, Denise -- I love it! Thanks also for your sweet card. The saying on the card means: "You don't find out if a thing works by thinking about it -- you have to try it out."
In the meantime, I have found the perfect place for the heart. It's now lying next to the Halloween dog plushie I won in Las Vegas, NV a couple of years ago.

Valentine's Day edition of Pink Saturday
If one day of the year is more pink that any other, it's definitely Valentine's Day! Welcome to the Valentine's Day edition of Beverly's Pink Saturday.
I love how brightly the glass heart shines when daylight or candlelight illuminate it.
It's amazing how well pink and red go together.
Lately, nearly all my orchids began to bloom again. Most of them come in varying shades of pink.
I am always fascinated how each plant seems to have its own personality.
