What is an S R Masters?

I’m Simon, and I write quirky, character-led suspense and thriller novels under the name S R Masters, as well as short stories (some of which have won awards). My books often lead with a big central idea, and characters in S R Masters books often face tricky moral conundrums and unique situations brought about by their personal beliefs and flaws. Some of my writing heroes are Richard Matheson, Ira Levin, John Wyndham, Gillian Flynn, Vince Gilligan, Ian McEwan, Jonathan Coe, Daphne De Maurier, and Stephen King—although I take full responsibility for the monsters I’ve created.

My books include the forthcoming THE DROP (HarperCollins/Sourcebooks), as well as THE TRIAL (or THE DRUG TRIAL in the US, and the film and TV rights of which have been optioned by The Forge), THE KILLER YOU KNOW, and HOW TO KILL WITH KINDNESS.
