Some apps have problems pasting back into the correct location or edit control. When this happens it's best to either press ctrl-c to place the clip onto the clipboard and then make sure the app you are pasting into has the cursor at the correct location and then manually press ctrl-v, or If the paste doesn't work by pressing enter on the clip the data is still on the clipboard and can manually be pasted with ctrl-v.
This is only used when sending clips to friends over the local network, It uses Rijndael block cipher to encrypt/decrypt the data, https://github.com/sabrogden/Ditto/blob/master/EncryptDecrypt/rijndael.cpp
Use control - 1, control-2. This can be configured in Options - Quick Paste Keyboard - Paste Position 1, Paste Position 2
In the clip properties (alt - enter or right click properties) you can assign a shortcut key to paste the clip.
You can select a clip in Ditto and press the shortcut key to copy into "Copy Buffer 1". This will place the selected clip into copy buffer 1. Currently there isn't a way to see what clip is in each buffer. Would make sense to show that. Maybe in the future. scott
Can you verify that this is the behavior you are looking for, https://ditto-cp.sourceforge.io/beta When copying a clip through ctrl-c the selection will stay on that clip (not scroll to the top and set selection to the first item) If pasting through enter (where it moves the clip to the top) selection will be reset to the top.
You can change the option to paste an entry on single click options - quick paste keyboard, find "paste selected" in the list. In the bottom pane combo select "double click" in the combo. Then change the key press combo to just "click". Click assign. Along with the other setting to not send the ctrl-v after pasting i think this is what you are talking about.
Nothing should have changed with this. So what behavior are you looking for? single click only selects that clip in the ui. ctrl-c places that clip on the clipboard and closes Ditto double clicking an entry places the clip on the clipboard and sends a paste (ctrl-v) to the prior active window, and closes Ditto Right click - special paste does the same as #3 with some adjustments to the data
