Hi Dick, The format of the time display defaults to hh:mm:ss, even if you don't see the hour sometimes because the hour mark hasn't been reached, or the total time (on the right) is less than an hour. You can adjust the time format in Tools->Configure->Control It's the first item on the page. If you've spotted the tools within LibreOffice writer, these enable you to control footswitch from within LibreOffice. Initially this was just to enable my wife to insert different flavours of TimeStamps and...
Good morning Dick, I'm going to assume you are referring to the Zoom Time window, where a separate window is opened to show the current time, which can be sized as big as you want it. That is available in the Help->Miscellaneous menu, called Zoom current time. You can also turn it on and off with Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Z or Right Click on the Current time on the left of the main window Once it is open click on it and it will roll through the available options. You may display Current elapsed time, Precise...
Normally, once the device has been registered in the udev system, easiest done by rebooting the box, the id: 05f3:00ff (or whatever) gets converted to a udev event and footswitch runs with that. This is normally covered by the setup routine that runs, the first time footswitch is run after installation. Dave, in version 8.7.0 I've changed the VIDRESIZE options to allow +400%, +200%, +100%, +50%, No Resize, half size, one third, one quarter and one fifth. I also check that the size change can never exceed the size of the terminal. So the only way that could happen, is if you have not specified a resize option i.e. No Resize. The bad news, the date of the 8.7.0 release is unknown.
Dave, the simple answer is I don't know, I don't run that system and I can't remember the last time I saw a .Mov file I do know that I don't set a maximum size, as I've never needed to. On Mint/Ubuntu, if you specify a size that will not fit on the screen, it refuses and fits it to the screen size. I assume the .mov file is reporting to vlc a size bigger than the screen and for whatever reason, the system allows that. (Again. I don't know if you are running a multiscreen system or if that would affect...
