So far, so good. Must have been a glitch with MS Defender.
In the interim, I have changed AV because I have noticed 100% cpu usage when analyzing a folder with Defender.
Hello. I don't know why but SDI64-drv.exe keeps disappearing. I have checked MS Defender history and it's not there. Ideas?
I recall it was some Intel OED, SST or something like that.
Yup. Your mileage may vary specially with Realtek DCH drivers.
I have found out that on some hardware you need to install Audio controllers first, reboot, and then install audio driver.
Hello. A little rant... SDI works quite well but due to MS crappy DCH implementation, it will probably fail 99% of the time while installing audio drivers on a clean installation. Your best bet is to install everything except audio drivers and let Windows Update install those.
Hello. Earlier driver worked, but I prefer the Non-DCH driver that gets installed via Windows Update. I am starting to think DCH was another crap forced on us by MS. This is Realtek ALC882 codec on MSI board (Kabylake/Skylake).
