Ich möchte mich herzlich für die aktuelle Version 14 bedanken. UltraDefrag läuft bei mir stabil, effizient und ohne unnötige Spielereien – genau so, wie ein Werkzeug für Systempflege sein sollte. Die Boot-Time-Optimierung, die klare Struktur und die Möglichkeit zur Skriptintegration machen es für mich zu einem der besten Defragmentierer überhaupt. Was ich mich allerdings frage: Warum ist UltraDefrag nicht annähernd so bekannt wie andere Programme, die mit viel Marketing auftreten, aber technisch deutlich schwächer arbeiten? Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass UltraDefrag sich auf Funktion statt Fassade konzentriert – was ich persönlich sehr schätze. Danke an das Entwicklerteam für die jahrelange Arbeit und die diagnostische Klarheit, die dieses Tool ausstrahlt. Ich freue mich bereits auf kommende Versionen und Weiterentwicklungen von UltraDefrag. Wenn Version 14 schon so überzeugend arbeitet, bin ich gespannt, welche Optimierungen, Funktionen oder diagnostischen Feinheiten noch folgen. Es ist selten, dass ein Tool so konsequent auf Effizienz und Klarheit setzt – und ich hoffe, dass dieser Weg fortgesetzt wird, fernab von überladenen Oberflächen und ritualisierter Feature-Inflation.

Thanks to the developers of UltraDefrag for this excellent program. My Windows 7 (32-bit) was getting very slow due to a badly fragmented MFT from years of use, meaning opening simple file/dir scanning programs like Irfan could take up to 10 seconds while they accessed the MFT. UltraDefrag fixed this problem perfectly, even allowing me to continue using the computer while it did its work (which impressed me) NOTE! if you still use 32-bit Windows 7 like me, then you might find (as I did) that the i386 package is missing vital exe files. Google "UltraDefrag old 32-bit versions" to find an older version that will work (I used version 7.0.2, dated 2016, which I downloaded from fosshub.com then virus-checked its exe and dll files at Virustotal)

I did the first Greek translation of this project, then add some other stuff and after a while I see 2 other "Greek" translators who translate like 1-2 words basically saying "we did it" ..I was mad but nothing happened, they got my credits ...then I see it turns into commercial product, right ...it was suppose to be open source not turn it into profit, I didn't sign for this

The program starts a new analysis every time you want to defrag even though you just ran one before. The developer updated the version 7 here just to add ads for their paid version 9. The ads pop up everywhere and makes it a hassle to use. Overall I don't feel safe keeping this on my computer.

1 - It seems to be good. I tried it years ago, several times (off-&-on) through various operating systems, yet, STILL -- they can't get it to shut-down your computer, when done defragging! WHYYY would I want to buy that problem? 2 - Plus, why is the g.u.i. sooo small? I have to wear/use my reading-glasses, to see it (read the button pop-ups). Perhaps they could increase the over-all size? 3 - Also, i've begun replacing my h.d.d units, with s.s.d.'s (which we're NOT supposed to de-frag) sooo -- wht now? What's to become of this software? SOME-ONE, please advise? thanks much! kbr

I had used Ultradefrag for many years and just decided to purchase the 9.0 64bit Standard version. I have had NO tech support in response to an installation error. I had 7 days to resolve it before the time-out period expired. It expires tomorrow. It was supposed to have been an AMD64 version but it is not. Nowhere can I find even a 32 bit version of 9.0! It appears that EVERYONE these days has gone down the tubes! I'll suck up my $$ loss but never again. The 'aspects' rating have no meaning. They had been excellent. UPDATE: I already had this last year. Only the About menu choice is updated to show 9.01 in the popup. The files are pre-existing, a year old.

It is my choice and favorite tool to speedup fragmented disk. Thank you a lot.

Fa molts anys que l'he usat, i sempre perfecte. He provat algun altre però he tornat ràpidament al UltraDefrag. Son molts anys treballant amb aquest programa i és un dels meus imprescindibles!! Un 10. Moltes gràcies.

Easily the best one I have used. Even O&O Defrag cannot beat this one and they made it as number 1 on the best defraggers list! To the people having issues: Either stop trolling or learn how to use the configuration correctly!

Yes the first time you run this program, it takes a long, long time but it is worth it... I have used many, many defrag programs and this one can make an old computer run faster than it was new. the boot time process really speeds up your computer starting up and shutting down.. I have never had a problem with Ultra Defrag and have never seen another program do a more thorough job..

Complete JUNK. Never installed correctly and now I can not get it off my right click dialog box. Stay away - there are much better options !!

Working with Ultradefrag for many years, no problems at all. A big Thank YO to the developers.

I like this a lot. Sure, the first optimization takes some time but afterwards things are smooth.

This software SUCKS. The version 0.7.2 never ends the job. That developers have not had the expertise to make UltraDefrag take ownership of the volume while it works. ANYTHING interrupts UltraDefrag. And it has no criterion, every "supposedly" finished defragmentation leaves your hard drive in a different way! Honestly, this program is a GARBAGE, it's one of the worst sourceforge. ------- Esse programa é uma BOSTA. A versão 0.7.2 nunca termina o trabalho, os programadores não conseguiram fazer o UltraDefrag tomar propriedade do volume enquanto ele trabalha (pois ele não desmonta o volume antes). QUALQUER coisa interrompe o UltraDefrag. E ele não tem critério algum, cada desfragmentação "supostamente" terminada deixa o seu HD de um jeito diferente! Sinceramente, esse programa é um LIXO, é um dos piores do sourceforge.

This deframent software is very great! Furthermore, for such problems like can't open or rename file (name is too long prompt), I use Long Path Tool and it works.

Excellent and reliable tool for MANY years and across many versions of Windows. Some ease of use in configuration would be nice but it's not required. Otherwise, I've used and beta tested hundreds of software products and this is one of those few products that filter past all other worthy tools and become permanent keepers. It does what it's supposed to do, without making too much noise or wasting my time and it does it extremely well! I have to feel bad for some of the people who've sadly written negative remarks.. well due to your laziness in figuring out your own problems and blaming it on the tool, or just simply not reading the documentation, or not asking others for help, or just having unrealistic expectations, or some other senseless reason you're now having to live with the consequence of using a lesser quality competing product.

open discussion yes i want to discute abou this, and i hope here is the raight place to do it since i couldn find any email. First lets begin about how much im waiting to perform a full optimization, like 30 hours fot 65% i would never do full op again, that i regret, i would never do again becouse im lie almos 2 days wainting fot 1 Tb 2 tb free. But.ok , i was waiting until i hit the X and it exit the prog,wheres th3 confirmation window? comen on developers, now i have to do everything again im fuked up and its your fault. now everything is going again at the end of hd innstead of continuing putting blocks from end of hd wich i continue yoo know what im mean. very angry, will never use this.again.

I've been using this since v5.0.x (i can't remember exactly which subversion) but it has just been getting better. I tested it on my old laptop that took nearly 5 minutes to boot and login and start using. After defraging, it took less than a minute, it did take a super long time to defragment and optimize, but it has to move a lot of files. I recently got v7 on win7, which my windows 7 got so sluggish, it took nearly 5 minutes (like my 2002 laptop) to get booted up to start using. After an overnight optimization, I restarted my computer to test it out and boot up was nearly instantanious. I logged in, and everything popped up like, if you blinked, you missed it. The user manual is pretty straight forward, and anyone with a very basic understanding about how code works can modify how ultradefrag behaves, how the UI looks, etc. It also explains how everything is supposed to work, and how to use the boot scan, and give very deep explanation after the straight forward explanations answering all the questions I had on how to use the golden piece of software. No one should be without this software. Stellar job ultradefrag developer person.

design looks like the program was written in 1974 or so. poor GUI, lots of command-line tools... this is 2015. when only 1 file needs defragmenting starting from the contect menu, the c: disk is analyzed. why ? even a 3 kb plain text file starts a >30 seconds defragmentation process !? uninstalled.
