A fully featured track editor without Undo. Do you know what it means? One human mistake and all work is lost. Map support is perfect, both online and - the most important - custom maps (image+map) files. Although ozfx formats are not supported. There is an option to add custom map servers, but no connection wizard at all. I have been trying for a few years to add a map source, unsuccessfully. I gave up. So I cannot save online maps to large images. I can only download hundreds of tiles from the server and try to merge them into one image. File naming. This is extemely annoying when editing tracks and saving a new version for the 99th time today. Every time you have to copy the filename to the window, because it is blank! The most wanted features are: merge all (or selected) tracks into a single track, copy/move a selected fragment to a new track, fill "holes" in tracks with lines seamlessly (interpolating the altitude), Create a track (or waypoint file) from photos EXIF data.

Excellent. There is no other software that I know about which lets you download calibrated Ozi maps for immediate use. It is really great. Thanks Marian

I am a complete newbie to mapping hikes, and have spent literally days wasting my time trying to find a way to get maps that I can load into my phone to use offline. I should note my phone is old, and a blackberry (control freaks) so none of the free simple solutions worked because the "never again" blackberry wants to force me to use a paid data plan to track my hikes. Anyway this program has proven to be the answer. It is much more than what I need, but even with the ton of features and options I was able to get the small section of map I needed, and was able to find how to export it in a format that works with the one free gps app that actually ignores the blackberry's attempt to force data server usage. Terra Incognita was really easy to use for me. I didn't have to read the manual or reams of help web pages. I little poking around in the program and presto a map ready to export to the file format I needed. My only wish is that I would have found this program days ago. Thank you to the author(s) for making such a wonder program. I only needed it for the 1 map, but anyone serious about hiking and needing maps for offline usage really need to check this Terr Incognita out. It has tons of features for those who know the advanced features of gpsing so you'll probably get tons of use from it.
