PCASP Calibrator has now been superseded by OPC Calibrator. This has all the same functionality, plus support for extra instruments.

PCASP Calibrator is software for processing calibration data from a PMS Passive Cavity Aerosol Spectrometer Probe with SPP-200 electronics. It provides a graphical user interface displaying plots of size distributions and sensitivity fits. Source code is included.
This software includes data for common calibration materials, calculated using MieConScat (http://sourceforge.net/projects/mieconscat). This software can be used for generating data for other aerosol using Mie-Lorenz theory or the user can use their own software for another scattering theory.

software to convert from particle scattering cross section to diameter
MieConScat
MieConScat is a GUI/Console program for generating MIE SCATtering data as a table of cross sections. It can generate scattering cross sections over specified angular ranges and total absorption cross sections. It was initially developed to aid work with optical particle counters (OPC) especially when CONverting data between cross section and diameter space. OpcCalibrator
OpcCalibrator is software for processing calibration data for optical particle counters (OPCs) using the method described in https://www.atmos-meas-tech.net/5/1147/2012/. Currently includes support for reading calibration data for a number of DMT instruments including CDP, CAS and PCASP and can read data from their PADS logging software. Support is also included for University of Manchester's custom logging software. You can The output from this program can then be used in CsToDConverter (https://sourceforge.net/projects/cstodconverter/) in order to generate bin diameters for any real world particle composition.
