Background:
This program is being designed as an alternative to large implementations of Network Traffic Analyzers.
Use the K.I.S.S. method: YOU ARE THE ANALYZER.
SubSpa4ce will not do your job. It will simply allow you to better craft your firewall rules, and give a broader picture to what is really occurring on your network.
There are "better", more developed programs out there, but I designed this so I can trust my own coding (or more likely be able to accept blame for a failed piece of code).
SubSp4ce:
The current version has two parts:
1)The Tachyon daemon
2)SubSp4ce
Tachyon will run on the network and can be configured to continuously gather packets and dump them to a MySQL database (using the libpcap and MySQL C API).
SubSp4ce will then display the results.
