iDeal Prayer Calculator is a simple desktop utility that helps organize the daily Islamic prayer routine, ( إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ ).
Based on the GPS coordinates of your location, it reliably indicates the direction of the Qibla and provides a zoomable map showing the shortest line between your location and the Kaaba, helping to correctly fulfill the Islamic prayer obligation.
It features thirteen calculation methods for prayer times, displays the Gregorian and Hijri dates, offers a weekly grid to schedule individual adhan notifications, and is perfectly integrated into your desktop and system tray.

iDeal Prayer Calculator is written in Python and has been successfully installed and tested on the following distributions by preinstalling the packages listed here below.

### Prerequisites for installation:

  - Ubuntu / Kubuntu / Xubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
    1. sudo apt update
    2. sudo apt install python3 python3-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtmultimedia python3-requests

  - KDE neon 20250925-0744
    1. sudo pkcon update
    2. sudo pkcon install synaptic
    3. with synaptic install: python3 python3-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtmultimedia python3-requests

  - Manjaro 25.0.8 KDE
    sudo pacman -Sy python-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtmultimedia python-requests

  - Linux Mint 22.2 Cinnamon
    1. sudo apt update
    2. sudo apt install python3 python3-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtmultimedia python3-requests

  - MX Linux 23.6 XFCE and KDE Editions
    1. sudo apt update
    2. sudo apt install python3 python3-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtmultimedia python3-requests

  - Fedora 42-1.1 KDE
    sudo dnf install python3-qt5

  - iDeal OS 3.9
    1. sudo apt update
    2. sudo apt install python3 python3-pyqt5 python3-pyqt5.qtmultimedia python3-requests

  - confirm with your password and complete the installation of the required dependencies.


### Installation:
  - right-click and open a terminal inside this extracted folder
  - type:   sudo ./install.sh
  - confirm with your password.


### Uninstallation:
  - right-click and open a terminal inside this extracted folder
  - type:   sudo ./uninstall.sh
  - confirm with your password.
