I've been testing out Kyan Pascal for the C64 over the last 2 weeks.
Kyan Pascal lacks a number of Turbo string features, but due to a weak type checking system for "var" parameters, you can implement most of the missing string features in Kyan.

Note: Kyan Pascal 2.1 is a p-code system. Kyan Pascal 1.1 is the native compiler. The only place I've been able to find this compiler is here:
https://csdb.dk/release/?id=131482

"disk49a.d64" contains both the native and p-code compilers. You only need 3 files for a Kyan native system.

"e.prg" standalone Kyan text editor (4K = Brilliant!)
"c.prg" is the native code compiler (35K)
"l.prg" is the Kyan runtime library (9.5K)

Wack those onto a disk and you are good to go. Both Pascal and assembly code can be developed with that system.

NOTE: If anyone has the C128 version, please contact me. I cant find it anywhere.
