GOOD GAMES but on sourceforge let's rate source! freedroid-1.0.2 classic SOURCE rating: 3*. on a moder linux os (gcc14, glibc-2.40, most things Xorg 2024) you have to install SDL-1.2.x and SDL_(mixer image net) which isn't easy getting right version and built or it segfaults on startup. But it does work nicely if you get everything right. freedroidRPG-0.16.1 SOURCE gets 3* (a 4+ for art but ...) even though it has art and stuff because: #1 has same SDL-1 depends issues and #2 cannot play on Intel HD770 GL it doesn't test if Alpha is implemented and segfaults (code is hugely dependant on hw alpha). Works on nVIDIA gtx 1050 fine. (OpenGL 4.5 canceled old alpha method per say - not all cheap/new devices have it). NARKIVE: it runs worse looks worse on nVIDIA1050GL than it does icore7 without GL: that bs keeps source rating as 3*.

It works pretty good. I think still need some work on graphs, but it is a very good job.

When I first found out about it years ago, I was really amazed by it and played the entire night. Great game, it has evolved a lot since then.

this game is excellent. You need play it by yourself to know of what I am talking. A pity that there aren't many persons intersted in developing this... the game devolpement is really slow...

Not scalable, therefore poor usability.

what a huge amount of work done! The game really captures and holds the tension, despite the untimely graphics and gameplay, but who cares!

A very nice open source program!

Love this! Have played a number of RPG's online and off. Including Diablo I-II and spent years with RuneScape. Totally psyched that this has gotten the open source support and attention that it needs. :)

Enthralling plot, brilliant references for players of all levels of geekdom, solid game play and active development. Can't wait to see where this goes.

I've had the opportunity to watch the project mature over the past several years, and it has become what I consider to be one of the premier examples of how open source game development should work.
