    Extremely flexible, but INSANE SLOW. Documentation is big but overcomplicated. I spent 4 hours to test it and very disapointed - even example doesn't works properly. So slow, so complex... Looking for beter alternative.

    I like the library and find it powerful and flexible.

    I am using it at a low level of device control. Boost logging has all the plumbing. But the effort to add it often illustrated issues in my design ! Have been using it for less than a year.

    in general its quite nice, except the current version doesn't seem to build on OSX 10.7.2 due to a requirement for posix timers. It did build ok previously with boost 1_47 but not currently with boost_1_48. I'd love an update on this as I'd like to continue to use it, but right now, I can't.

    Very good design but learning curve is too steep. Documentation requires more thorough work explaining the basics, with good examples.

    Maybe it is perfect library, but documentation is really huge! Logging is trivial task, so logging library (imho) must be easy-to-learn and easy-to-use. It's look like author don't acquainted with golden rule of Unix "Keep It Simple, Stupid!"

    Anxiously waiting for boost-log to be adopted and officially supported as a Boost library. A fantastic library.
