This change was mainly to address the useragent to avoid banning. It now defaults to WinAmp 5, and you can select from a list of apps to impersonate.
If you've been having trouble with getting banned from stations, you should get this release.
Changes:
- New installer (just looks different)
- Changed default useragent to look like WinAmp 5.0.
- Allow user to change useragent (off of View-Options, click the "User Agent" button). ... read more
Version 1.12 of StationRipper was released today at 6 PM EST.
Thanks for all the help testing this one. We hit a couple of problems, but thanks to all the user testing and feedback I think this is an improved version that everyone will like.
This version brings the ability to buy the songs you are ripping, find other programs on your machine that are listening to a stream and start ripping that stream (iTunes), and a lot of interface/usability improvements
V1.11 is a minor update. It includes:
- Added browse button to MyMusic
- Allow choice on what URL to load on start (or to not load any web page)
- Add list of sources for URL (so you can choose which search order Shoutcast comes up in default)
- Pretty K/MB/GB names.
This release also includes the latest ZIP of the build tree.
(NOTE: The build number did not change on the App - only major releases are getting updates, to minimize the nag factor of auto-notification)
200 simulations stations can now be ripped. Basic Music Browser/Player added. Many other enhancements and fixes. See release notes for more details
