1.1.1- when the size of text preview is too large, the highlighting is misplaced - this bug is known by Adam : DONE
1.1.2- word wrapping isn't effective : DONE
1.1.3- all advanced options (expert mode) aren't sometimes effective ; why ? Because if the notebook isn't opened on position #2, those options are inactives ! Now, even if notebook is in position #3, those options are ACTIVES. DONE
1.1.4- sometimes, even if the option 'show line contents' activated, Searchmonkey show ONLY one line : DONE (seems linked to somewhat with wizard , if the wizard is activated, even for nothing, BEFORE research, the display is correct !)
1.1.5- reactivated "limit content hits" options in notebook's option panel. DONE
1.1.6- option 'simple search syntax' isn't activatable : reactivated. DONE
1.1.7- when "extra lines" for "containing text search" is activated, the highlighting was misplaced : DONE
1.1.8- found a "cool" bug mistmach between Kilo-bytes and Mega-bytes file size display : DONE
1.1.9- isn't really a bug, but under /configuration>preferences and systeme calls in dialog if we want that the web browser is called correctly, the correct syntax is (for example Firefox : /usr/bin/firefox and the parameter only %f) ; fixed by remobe the "new-tab" string. DONE
1.1.10- With the "Test Regular expressions" dialog, the highlighting is wrong (shifted) with accented chars (i.e. chars with more than ONE byte by char) ; it's not critical, but annoying. DONE... read more

Searchmonkey is easy to install, but while we wait for the distros to automatically package and bundle Searchmonkey 0.8.2 users can benefit from the newest release by compiling the source code.

Hot off the press, this minor upgrade improves Gnome support:
# make install-gnome
Fixing a minor bug from version 0.7.0, and updating the CSV and table results view, this version is definitely worth upgrading too.
If you are using anything less, upgrade now!

p.s. For those that don't know - searchmonkey is a slick regular expression graphical search utility.
With the new release of 0.6.3 making minor adjustments to the documentation, I've also taken the opportunity to release a Windows exectutable.
The port is still in its infancy (hence the self-service nature of the zip), but hopefully future code drops will be more convienient - if anybody would like to adopt the windows port (or even a MAC port!!) please get in contact!

I've recently become a father, so Searchmonkey progress will have to take second place for the short-term.
Keep emailing me if there are any bugs/features that you want, and I'll add them to the list - they will get done, just not today!
Non ASCII character bug now fixed from text searching.
Minor release 0.6.1 is now backwards compatible with release Gtk 2.6.2.
Following the project name change, test out the latest search app.
As a graphical replacement for find/grep, at version 0.6.0 nearly all of the key features are in place.

After some careful thought (and one patent infringement later) Xsearch has been renamed searchMonkey.
Hopefully this name will be good for a while!

Unfortunately version 0.4 had a post-production bug in it, so it has been replaced by version 0.4.1.
This is a stable beta product, so please let me know how you get on with it.

Following a phenomenally fast uptake in such a short time, and the kind feedback from people, I am please to announce the version 0.2 Alpha release.
This version is far more stable than the first release, and wil hopefully allow users to benefit from the tool whilst giving me the opportunity to update the tool to full functionality (beta).
