SVN was updated.
There is an new future to load shader in GLSL format.
Enjoy!!!
I will present here real time rendering tool for visualisation of particle data from
outputs of Gadget-2 code. This version of PMViewer code supports Realtime(for
local hosts) and Offscreen(for remote hosts) rendering modes. There are two techniques
used for rendering: Particle and SPH. Realtime particle rendering mode for 6
Million particles in full screen mode with 1024x768 screen resolution on Nvidia 6600Le
video card with 256Mb VRAM can gain speed up to 40 frames per second(fps). In
SPH mode speed is about 0.5-0.2fps, but this is in order is faster then rendering in
offscreen mode. Offscreen rendering on Itanium-2 processor 20M particles, with image
resolution 1024x768pix, takes 1 frame per 10 minutes.
The maximum speed for Realtime in Particle mode was observed on NVidia Quadro
1400 Stereo video card with 128Mb video memory: 1283 particles can be rendered in
active stereo (left and right channels) up to 70fps.
Platform independent code is written in C/C++ language using OpenGL and
GLUT libraries. SVN is enabled for download latest snapshots:
svn co https://pmviewer.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pmviewer ./NewPMViwerOS
Finally I released new version of PMViewer:
Now one can reuse binary without compiling.
The in.ini file's format is simple for using. I added camera path script to implement different camera paths.
Also there are different methods to view Haloes!!!With lighting and transparency they looks great.
Dear all.
The PMViewer's Home page is working.
there you can find some snapshots and light description of program.
Cheers Arman.
Dear all!!!
The PMViewer 1.3b release has a lot of futures for exploring 3D particle data.
for ex:
3D flying true the data. DM Halo drawing over particles and lot of futures.
Just try it and enjoy!!!
Cheers Arman.
Hi all!!!
Project will reliesed in the next week.
Old versions of PMViewer you can find in the http://www.aip.de/~arm2arm/pmviewer.html
Cheers Arman.
