I tested version 0.49.2 beta on a Sony PRS-T1 and the page count works well, even though it is not so pretty (it is stuck at the very top and the font size is very small).

On my unit, to the left of the page count, there is a | 0: 0| when viewing the top part of the page and | 0:762| on the bottom part of the page.

Hello, sorry for long delay in implementation. Most of requests are implemented:

information about page count and page progress

since 0.94.2:
* time info (for Android 4.2+ only)
* battery info
* ability to set status bar position: top/bottom
* ability to configure status bar text size

Most of the options could be removed from bar via configuration in settings

Remaining time feature is not implemented as part of this request, there is similar issue for it in https://sourceforge.net/p/orion-viewer/tickets/31/
