There are two different aspects under this topic:
1. Sound effects: these should be playable in a loop of at least a length of 20s, or if various effects are combined have a different length. With sound effects the scene has to be considered in respect to the reverberation.
1. Music
I will detail my ideas based on the various scenes:
This is a video that plays while the application is loaded. Content is not yet defined and therefore the soundtrack is unclear
Here I could imagine a theme music that plays in the background while these pages are open. I think it should sound contemporary but not necessary directly tied into a sailing theme.
Sound effects: Waves chopping on the mole. Creaking of the ships rig, flutter of the ships sail
Sound effects: hammering on wood, sawing and chopping of wood, creaking of ships rig
Sound effect: hammering on the anvil, hissing on hot metal in water, sizzling noise from the forge, blowing bellows
Sound effect: Scratching of a quill on parchment, clinking coins, putting leather coin bag on the table
Sound effect: murmuring (low/deep voices)
Music: seamens shaunties. Even if the accordeon is not contemporary it might make sense
