This release does not bring any new features unless you count the various installers now available for al mayor operating systems. So in short, what was achieved with this release:
The new version 0.9.0 of OpenPatrician is here. Read up on it on the blog and take a look at the feature video.
Last week I had the chance to verify that the last release works on Mac: https://sourceforge.net/projects/openpatrician/files/OpenPatrician%200.8.0/OpenPatrician-0.8.0.zip/download unpack and run with ava -jar OpenPatricianDisplay-jfx-0.8.0.jar
Unfortunallty the creation of a native executable for Mac will need a bit more work.
The next release is finished. Check it out: http://sahits.ch/blog/openpatrician/2017/04/21/openpatrician-release-0-8-0/
The feature video will follow soon.

Only 14 hours late, but the JavaFX branch is finally merged into the trunk.
The development took about 250 commits and half a year of development time. With this out of the way one of the major improvements for the next release is done.
As of today the new version 0.3 is available for download at SourceForge as well as through the Maven repositories.
This new version brings new featers, mainly the implementation of the Tavern as well as a new scene, the ship yard.
For the second release (0.0.2 which realy is 0.2.0) we only needed 8 month instead of 11. Statisticts however show that for each release there was about the same amount of commits. While I would not call this version playable yet, we are getting there. This release is aslo out in the maven repositories. Which might be especially interessting for those who make use of the Rendering and GameEvent packages.
The Release 0.1 is now also available in the Maven repository. Read more about the details: http://openpatrician.sourceforge.net/54/release-0-0-1-available-in-maven-repository
Though this very first version of the game is not yet something that can be played with, it gives a first glimpse at what will be.
