I've posted my latest source snapshot for the project in the file area for anyone interested in browsing/scavenging.
There are the beginnings of a manual, but building it will still be a challenge without many docs (and requoires building some library dependencies - such as OSG).
The graphics is still pretty basic (- only primitive shapes and no terrain collision, shadows etc. yet).
Main changes: switched from GLOW to GTKmm GUI; now using boost-build; many minor bug fixes.

The collision system API was reorganized to separate it out.

Inverse kinematics is now implemented, along with XML file formats for specifying simple environments, robots, manipulators and tools. There isn't much in the way of documentation, so building it will still be a challenge (e.g. it depends on the latest CVS versions of OSG and ODE).

I've put up my latest development CVS snapshot. Not much new functionality, just plenty of reorganisation. Still very early days.
For the time being, any news will be posted on the project web page, not here.

I've just created this project to help coordinate activities with existing collaborators. I originally didn't intend to 'go public' so soon. So if you're looking to help or were looking for a useable product, check back in about year! (I hope).
If you think you could really contribute big-time, perhaps I could be convinced.
Feel free to make use of any code we post here in the mean time (it's GPL'd).
(I'd appreciate if you'd drop me a note if you make any siginficant use of it)
