and what's the point? said that you would do it, and did nothing, and the program is very important! We will leave a link to this repository on our site, not a new one.

Hi David, ODIN 0.34 does not support GPT disks. I have taken over development, and am working on adding support for this feature. If you'd like to add bugs and feature requests, you can go ahead and do it here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/odin-imager/

Please rename the ticket to indicate rather the GPT problem than a VHD(X) one. It seems I don't have permissions to do it.

Hi, some image utils like ImDisk or OSFMount provide a workaround for non-raw IMG formats by specifying the image file offset upon mounting. Now it's possible to view an image in an hex editor where the offset could be found. Unfortunatelly I have no idea what to look at. Could you please extend the ODIN docs or someone write a guide about how to determine at which offset the variable header of an ODIN image ends and the raw image starts? Thanks. Update: Created feature request #8

Ten years later, this is still a crucial missing feature. Can you at least add a mechanism for converting odin files to standard image files? When I started using ODIN for backups, I didn't realize it was using a nonstandard format.

  • Gio Gio posted a comment on discussion Help

I have this same issue. How can odin images be restored to readable files, instead of having to burn psysical media?

  • svargh svargh posted a comment on discussion Help

It would be nice, if the image is also encrypted with a given password. Thanks

ODIN 0.34 crash restoring whole disk, multiple-partition, backup over disk with different partition structure.

Something I observed might relate to the issue, though I did observe the following with revision 0.34. When I made a backup, I set the option to max out at 2000 MB file size, and I backed up a whole disk with 3 partitions and some unused space. (No partition was bigger than 2000MB so that was kind of pointless, but it might relate to the issue.) In any event, the files the backup created were something like this: foo.mbr, foo-Partition10000.img, foo-Partion20000.img, and foo-Partition30000.img. When...

The dropbox files are no longer accessible. Why weren't they uploaded to the tracker? Anyway, I just backed up and restored a whole disk with (3) partitions and some spare space. I even restored to a drive of a different size. I used both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of ODIN version 0.34. The save/restore was done on a USB-attached SATA SSD with (2) NTFS partitions and a custom non-NTFS/non-FAT partition. Everything worked great except that the 64-bit ODIN choked when trying to restore to a...
