yep sounds correct due to the lack of support.

That's "easy" to deal with. Add to your /etc/mindi/deplist.txt file all the tools you need at restore time. 
You would also probably need a kernel module, so you should also add it to /etc/mindi/mindi.conf FORCE_MODS variable.

Then, if you tell me what steps you have to do at restore time, and alsoprovide the archive log, I could add that to what mindi does so it's performed more automatically.
