It annoying defaults back to some system defined value, which is pretty useless.

This behaviour has started pipping me enough to do somethign about it.
The strategy is to wrap the standard electron dialogs by one that save the returned parent path.

Now done - with two different default directories: :models for most things, and :data for imported CSV files.
