lxtask "More Details" button text should change when toggled

lxsession compilation fails on GCC 14
Debian Trixie. It keeps bugged. I'm using Mate until it works again.
Hello, I hit the bug in Ubuntu Openbox Remix after upgrading from 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS. I have added a bug report here : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/2089506/ I have not found the issue in a recent Debian Bookworm. AsVHEn does not say exactly which version of Debian was used?
LXterminal options to enable copy on select and right click paste.
With the new API at openweather can you revisit this? Thanks

Cursor Size Truncated
Another way could be to adjust the width by wrapping the text on multiple lines in the command name, this would be better. I also want the command name to be copyable.
Save width of lxtask columns
LXterminal does not clear urgency WM_HINT
So it wont be easy it will be fixed. Thank you.
Those are two different issues. The incorrect panel sizing is caused by the desktop pager applet. You can remove it, and the panel width is correct again. Concerning the overlaying elements in the windowlist, this is an old issue which has not been solved until now. A workaround would be to decrease the width of the task buttons and to group similar applications or to use icons only, instead of icons with labels. Those issues appear only if you compile lxpanel against GTK3, which has happened in...
Taskbar trimmed. Taskbar out of screen.
The issue can be solved by adopting patch from https://github.com/lxde/lxappearance-obconf/commit/b9d45ea632235f4a07eba4fd6b5e5cee3a27f59e.
lxappearance with GTK-3 has SIGSEGV when startup
This does not work for me. Instead, from "Desktop Preferences - Advanced" select 'Open desk folders in a new window'.
lxsession does not update utmp
lxsession-db doesn't check ~/.local/share/applications/ for .desktop files
Update config.guess to add riscv64 architecture support for gpicview
The config.guess file in menu-cache-1.1.0.tar.xz is outdated
Let me correct the conclusion above: because (367-16)%14=1, so i think the right minimum size is: 366 by 151
WM_NORMAL_HINTS of lxterminal set wrong value

Hi, The bug https://github.com/lxde/lxpanel/issues/29 is fixed by https://github.com/walshb/lxpanel/commit/3c1ad6bc7c8b4b3ba66c04e6e10aa741f028ba75 Best regards,
I am having the same issue. This is a fresh install of raspi OS downloaded and imaged by the official installer (2022-03-12). See attached images of the offending process and the head and tail outputs of run.log
@jubnut, thanks for investigating this. Unfortunately your patch doesn't fix the issue for me. There's another report here: https://github.com/lxde/lxpanel/issues/29 Do you know what we can do to fix it? Thanks!
Add CLI options to LXappearance
Update 2022.01.13: But, GTK3 version still ignores $GTK2_RC_FILES and generates .gtkrc-2.0. Hope they both respect that variable, given that GTK3 version also creates GTK2's gtkrc file. (I am using lxappearance-gtk3 package from Arch Linux)
~/.cache/lxsession/LXDE/run.log takes up all disk space
lxterminal ignores first resize, under fvwm
LXDE on Mac X11: taskbar settings out of reach.
This looks like a regression to bug #74, with the added twist that interface eth0, to which the network status monitor defaults, does not exist anymore. This bug was also reported in Lubuntu 16.04 but not forwarded upstream. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/1645595 It also occurs in lxpanel 0.10.1-2 on Debian 11.1. An error is shown indicating an invalid interface. The computer is connected to the internet. Are users supposed to be able to select the interface through either...

As the status is still open today, I can confirm that the issue has been fixed in version 0.4.0, which comes with Debian 11 Bullseye.
Some complaining here. I don't have any gtk2 apps in my system, so I removed gtk2 package, now there is a dilemma when I am using lxappearance: if I use lxappearance built for gtk3, I will have the config file for gtk2 generated in my home folder instead of $GTK2_RC_FILES, if I use lxappearance built for gtk2, I will have to install the gtk2 package solely for lxappearance.
lxterminal 0.4.0 on Fedora 34 crash
I recompiled LXPanel with GTK2, the problem was solved. So the problem is in supporting GTK3.

Hi, I like to share an issue related to this one. I am using the panel placed on the right (not at the bottom as more usual), with width 35 and icon size 30 (i.e. quite small). The digital clock font "does not scale", meaning that the text is truncated since it is too big. So having the chance to manually set the font size could be enough to fix this issue (but also an auto-scaling feature could be nice). Meanwhile I am forced to check the "tooltip only" (the clock icon scales well). Regards
This problem has been bugging me for ages and I also have just worked out that it is due to the invisibleHandles option in Openbox. It often raises an arbitrary window that may be completely hidden, instead of passing my click to the topmost, raised, and focused, window. This is not restricted to lxpanel (in fact, I don't use lxpanel), so this bug report is probably unjustified. InvisibleHandles is meant to allow you to "grab" a window frame for resize when the pointer is actually outside the window...
xfce4-notifyd service did not start (it is need for nm-applet and for xfce4-power-manager)
Ok. Thank you very much!!! I cant find this info.
Okay. This is https://github.com/lxde/lxsession/pull/27 and https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/issues/2361 . glib upstream bug report says this is fixed in 2.68.1. Once I can confirm this, I will close my pull request for LXDE side without being merged.
Sorry. Libglib 2.68.0-1.2-x86-64
Well, no.... looks like the package name is "libglib-2_0-0"? (I guess the version is 2.68.0)
libpackagekit-glib2-18 (1.2.2.10.2-x86_64) I had try to downgrade to 1.1.13.lp152.2.3-x86_64 but it did not help
Well, not glibc but glib is my concern.
Sorry, glibc 2.33-5.2 lxde and other components from from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/lxde/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/
Would you post what "glib" version you are using?

Actually this causes lxappeance segfault when trying to remove icon theme. Forwarded: https://github.com/lxde/lxappearance/pull/4
Well, actually if xrandr output is as this, lxrandr should segfault: The problem is preferred 60.00*+ line - current lxrandr source fails to parse this correctly (by regex), however while I want to reproduce this, I don't know how xrandr actually return preferred string....

the GTK3 preview did not render properly, because it attempted to mimic the GTK2 code too closely - the function which draws to the gdk-pixbuf (the return value of the drawing functions), and its GDK2 counterpart which it replaced, did not have feature-parity - i tried to eliminate the cairo dependency; but i could not find a replacement GDK function which is equivalent to the GTK2-compatible one - some of the features of gdk-pixbuf2 appear to be incompatible with GTK3 the GTK2-compatible function...

the proper fix is included below i add this for the sake of completeness/documentation - if only this patch is applied, it would allow lxappearance to operate normally; but the functionality of preview.c is still broken using GTK3 (per https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/bugs/768/) - i dont believe that the GTK3 implementation ever worked properly - i have re-worked and completed that feature, which would close #768; but my changes are under VCS, and i kept this patch separate for the sake of documentation...

I'm also seeing a SEGFAULT starting lxapperance with sway, and I think the root cause is the same. There was some discussion about it here: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/67697 . The crash occurs on the call to XInternAtom in check_lxsession.
