4.10 corrects various issues in the 4.9 distribution package, provides  
improvements to indri for processing ClueWeb09, improvements to the  
query log toolbars and server, and more.

Applications compiled with the Lemur Toolkit require the following
libraries: z, iberty, pthread, and m on linux, and additionally socket
and nsl on solaris.  Applications built in Visual Studio require the
additional library wsock32.lib.  The java jar files were built with
Java 5 (jdk 1.5.0). The java UIs require Java 5. We have tested using  
GCC
3.2 (solaris), 3.2.2(linux), 3.4(linux), 3.4.3(linux x86_64),  
4.0.2(linux),
4.3.1 (OS/X), VC++ .NET 7.1(Windows XP), and Visual Studio 2005 (Windows
XP).

Enhancements:

For ClueWeb09 processing, input files for the warc file class  
environment  can now be in gzipped form. The unsegmented languages can  
now be processed with the warcchar file class environment, which  
indexes each individual character as a separate token.

The query log toolbar upload server responds more quickly to uploads,  
processing the files after the upload success has been returned to the  
client. The IE version of the toolbar will now check for updates. The  
IE version of the toolbar can now operate correctly in IE 8 on Vista  
running in protected mode.
