Select the chipset

Hoping to improve a bit the problem of detecting the chipset, a new version is released.
In this new version, if jTomtom is not able to detect the chipset of the connected GPS it will ask the question. You can then force the chipset.

To go with, a button send you to the documentation part which explains how to find your GPS chipset, and if you really understand nothing, jTomtom install all available updates.

New stable realese

After two months of the test version becomes the new stable version.

The big new is the support for the spanish radars with the site Pdis.es.
In fact, the real big new is invisible, that's the plugin manager which has requested a significant redesign of the code for easily support new web sites of radars (or POIs).

I want to thank my two main testers who will recognize themselves (I hope because I know only their email :s). They helped me greatly and they have spent long time for testing and feedback all problems I encountered. Thank you again.... read more

Build 20 available

This is the update of this week.
Little change in appearance, we thank Francisco Luque Contreras for the spanish translation and his help for the internationalization of radars.

Indeed, jTomtom will soon update the radar of several countries. The code has been re-structured (yet) to accept easily new sites for radars update. The work is not finished yet so the change does not appear yet on the interface.
In the code, the necessary changes are made. If you're a Java developer, it is easy to write a class that allows the update of the radars. If you're interested, you can contact me via the email address in the about tab.
